Mašinska škola NS
A mechanical engineering secondary school in Novi Sad: half a century of education and more than 5,000 students. We built a website that joins tradition and the modern web: 10 study programmes clearly presented, news and the school paper, and all enrolment information in one place, easy to scan for prospective students and parents.
A school with a long tradition and a large student body has a lot of content: programmes, timetables, a calendar, news, enrolment, a school paper. The challenge was to organize it all so a prospective student or parent finds what they're after in a couple of clicks, the school publishes news on its own, and the site shows up in search when families are choosing a secondary school.
The first question wasn't how the site looks, but what a family is after when they arrive. Everything else was arranged around that. We held the tone between tradition and the present day: a school with half a century of history mustn't look improvised, nor dated on a phone, where most of the visits come from. WordPress was chosen for one obligation rather than out of habit: the staff has to publish on their own, without depending on an agency.

Exo 2 is a technical, slightly “engineered” grotesque. A perfect fit for a mechanical engineering school, giving the headlines character, while Inter keeps body text readable and serious for students and parents.
A strong, confident blue carries the school's identity: serious and stable, in the spirit of technical education.
A darker blue for depth and contrast: backgrounds and headings that need weight.
An airy blue lowers the tone and opens up space: details, icons and sections that need to breathe.
The only warm tone. Used sparingly, for highlighted actions and accents on the blue base.
